Fulidhoo Tours, Snorkel Trips & Dives

Nurse sharks, stingrays, sandbanks, dolphins and dives — the trips that visit Fulidhoo and Vaavu, plus a few for your day in Malé.

Let us be honest first: GetYourGuide lists only a handful of products for Fulidhoo itself. Most excursions on the island are sold directly by guesthouses and local operators when you arrive — sandbank picnics, snorkel trips, sunset fishing, dives.

What you can book online, with reviews and free cancellation on most, are the day trips from Malé and Maafushi that come to Fulidhoo and Vaavu for the nurse sharks, stingrays and sandbanks; a couple of private Vaavu boat days; and the extras that make your arrival or departure day in Malé easier — a city tour, a short snorkel, a resort or beach-club day, an airport lounge. We have selected seventeen of them below.

Staying on Fulidhoo? Book your trips on the island through your guesthouse, compare a couple of offers, and use the online products for the days you spend in Malé or Maafushi. If you are not staying overnight, the Malé and Maafushi day trips are the easiest way to see Fulidhoo.

Booking tours for Fulidhoo: FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Can I book Fulidhoo excursions online?

A few, yes — the products on this page. Most trips that start on Fulidhoo are sold by guesthouses and local operators on the island; book those when you arrive or by message beforehand.

Can I visit Fulidhoo on a day trip?

Yes. Several day trips from Malé and Maafushi stop at Fulidhoo for the nurse sharks and stingrays, often with a sandbank and dolphin spotting.

Are these tours refundable?

Most GetYourGuide activities offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start. The exact policy is shown on each listing before you pay. Boat trips can also be cancelled by the operator in bad weather.

Is snorkel gear included?

Usually, on snorkel trips. If you have your own well-fitting mask, bring it. Check the “includes” section of each listing.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

For the harbour and sandbank shallows, no. For reef snorkelling in open water you should be comfortable swimming; ask for a life jacket or buoyancy vest if you are not.

What about ray feeding?

Some trips advertise stingray feeding. Feeding wild animals changes their behaviour; we suggest watching rather than feeding, and never touching the animals.
